ORANGE MALI
An innovative in-store customer experience!
Touch-screen totems for ordering and purchasing
Orange Mali has installed touch-screen totems in its stores to improve access to services and digital inclusion. Thanks to these totems, users with no access to the internet or a computer can easily access Orange’s online services.
IPM France has provided Orange Mali with 30 large CE-certified touch-screen totems with portrait layout (49 and 55 inches) as part of the telecom operator’s quest for innovation.
Orange customers can choose and reserve products, mainly mobile phones, on these touch-screen totems. Only items in stock can be selected, allowing customers to leave with their purchase within minutes! Once the product has been selected and reserved, the 80mm thermal printer built into the totem prints a ticket summarising the sale.
The customer then goes to the counter with their ticket, pays and collects their purchase. Payments are by bank card, in cash, or with an Orange Money account. Totem customers benefit from a special checkout for VIP service. They don’t have to wait in the same queue as others who might be buying or replacing a lost SIM card, making complaints, or paying invoices for example.
This new Click & Collect solution is now available in all Mali’s Orange stores. Orange plans to roll out the service to hotels, train stations, airports and shopping centres.
