Medeo
Augmented teleconsulting on interactive kiosks
Medeo supports healthcare professionals in their digitisation, by developing digital solutions to help them save time and improve their medical practice. The company provides pharmacies with a teleconsulting solution on interactive kiosks, made by IPM France.
On the teleconsulting kiosk, patients can speak to a doctor easily and entirely independently. Equipped with six connected medical devices (dermatoscope, otoscope, pulse oximeter, blood pressure monitor, thermometer and stethoscope), this kiosk provides doctors with extensive clinical information, unlike conventional teleconsulting carried out from a laptop or smartphone. As such, teleconsulting on interactive kiosks is called “augmented”.
Teleconsulting kiosks are installed in community healthcare centres such as pharmacies. Healthcare professionals can thus support patients requesting such assistance either by taking measurements ahead of the video consultation with the doctor, or throughout the consultation itself. The aim is to provide a reliable clinical context to aid a quick diagnosis.
This compact kiosk, jointly designed with Medeo, can be installed on all medical sites. Easy to use, user-friendly and equipped with medical devices, it features a 15-inch screen, a video conference kit and a SESAM-Vitale card reader. Several pharmacies have already been won over, including in Givors, where the pharmacy uses it daily to compensate for the shortage of doctors locally.
